About Train2Lead
The Train 2 Lead (T2L) Program is designed to equip pharmacy students with essential skills and knowledge regarding leadership & professionalism. The program focuses on developing leadership qualities necessary for success throughout pharmacy organization leadership and to serve as a leader in pharmacy practice.

Why Apply to T2L?
T2L focuses on learning from AAPP’s Executive Board and Co-Chairs to mentor students in learning and applying the skills imperative for a career in pharmacy.

Upon completion of the program, mentees will be able to:

Enhance professional development through resume/CV writing, interviewing skills, event planning, and group collaboration.

Develop self-awareness and time management skills.

Enhance communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.

Cultivate problem-solving abilities, event execution proficiency, and team management skills.

Foster ethical leadership, soft skills, and professional development through interactive workshops.

Committees
Here are some of the many committees you can be a part of in the Train2Lead program! Mentees in the program can get direct involvement in two committees of their choosing!

Fundraising
Organize fundraisers and work with our treasurer to handle finances such as budgeting, donations, and reimbursements

Global Outreach
Highlight what mental health care & treatment look like in different areas of the world while tackling issues such as stigma surrounding treatment (both in and out of the US) and cultural differences.

Train2Lead (T2L)
Responsible for collaborating with the President and President-Elect on Train 2 Lead, a mentorship program for all AAPP E-Board and Cochairs

Community Outreach
Plan events to help educate students and spread awareness of different mental illnesses and psychiatric pharmacy

Social
Plan inter-club events to promote bonding, friendship, and familiarity between individuals of different levels, committees, and backgrounds within the club.

High School Outreach
In charge of connecting with local districts and high schools to implement programs, workshops, and interactive presentations regarding leadership skills, mental health, addiction, and self-care.

Public Relations
Advertise our events through flyers and approve infographics to spread awareness of mental health issues and psychiatric pharmacy

Mental Health Fair
Put together our annual mental health fair, our biggest event each year. Will contact organizations presenting at the event and oversee the creation of booths, in addition to holding a booth at the fair.

Research
Oversee the creation of AAPP’s annual research projects by devising questionnaires and other data collection methods, managing the submission of eIRB content, and creating the informational poster, presentation, or publication that is submitted to the national AAPP conference.
